How to Register for Gymnastics Classes

There are over 70 full-member Gymnastics BC clubs for artistic, trampoline & recreational gymnastics in the province of British Columbia. These clubs are listed on the Gymnastics BC website.

There are also several associate members that operate out of various community centres, schools and other programs. There are also some that operate independently of Gymnastics BC. Most clubs will be listed in your local Yellow Pages, under 'gymnastics'.

If the club you are speaking with is not listed on the Gymnastics BC website, ask if they are a member of Gymnastics BC. If they are you can be confident that the following is true of their programs:

All of their coaches will be certified under the National Coaching Certification Program of Canada, one of the most respected programs in the world for coaching education.
They will have access to nationally developed recreational and competitive programs.
The club will be fully insured under the Federations Sport Liability insurance.

Registration Process

To register yourself or your child for a gymnastics program, please contact the club you are interested in directly. Registration for gymnastics programming is handled by the individual clubs. Although Gymnastics BC is the governing body for gymnastics, each club is responsible for their own programming, fees and other business policies.

Registration Fees

Each member of a GBC member club is also a member of Gymnastics BC. As such, Gymnastics BC collects membership from each club for all of their members. This fee varies depending on the type of membership and is the responsibility of the club to remit these fees to Gymnastics BC.

2008/09 Fees

This chart lists an overview of the fees for athletes. Please refer to the Individual Member Registration Information form for a complete list.

Recreational Gymnast	An individual who pursues the recreational aspects of gymnastics within their club and who does not participate in GBC sanctioned competitions or Interclub events (exception Gymnaestrada). These include: parent-to, preschool, Special Needs and Advanced Rec.	$11/year
Interclub Gymnast	Recreational gymnasts who participate in GBC sanctioned Interclub events	$15/year
Cheerleading	Individuals who participate in GBC club operated recreational level cheerleading programs	$25/year
Developmental Athlete	Gymnasts who participate in GBC sanctioned events for KIP or GYMSTART	$40/year
Competitive Athlete	Gymnasts who pursue the competitive aspects of gymnastics and will be competing in GBC sanctioned competitions at any level in artistic and trampoline gymnastics	$80/year
