GCG WAG Structure
Gymnastics
Canada has decided to review the role and responsibilities associated
with the position of National Coach since the position is vacant. In the
mean time, they have announced that BC's Kyna Fletcher will be
responsible for the National Team training and competition program until
the end of December 2010. This is a part time responsibility.
Kyna
is the Head Coach at Phoenix Gymnastics in Vancouver and the GBC
Provincial Coach. She has coached NT and carded athletes and is very
familiar with the current National Team athletes and coaches. Kyna was
in charge of the July NT training camp for the athletes who were in the
pool for the Worlds Championships and the Commonwealth Games. The camp
held in Sarnia at the Bluewater facility. Kyna also led the post Trials
mini-camp with the World Team and accompanied them to Guadalajara,
Mexico for the Senior Pan American Championships. In addition to her
expertise as a coach, Kyna is excellent at working closely with all the
NT coaches involved to ensure that the optimal preparation plan will be
in place for each main activity.

HST
Overview for Gymnastics BC Member Clubs
HST is
not a new tax – it has the same general rules and tax base as GST.
However there are some differences.
It is federally administered by CRA (one return/one
administration/one audit)
All GST/HST is reported to CRA on GST/HST return, revenue then
allocated between federal and provincial governments.
Reduced compliance (one return, one audit, no exemption
certificates, and no dealing with PST complexities.
How will
this change affect your club? Please review the overview provided by Gymnastics BC.
