Scholarships Help Build Futures
Since 2006, Gymnastics BC has awarded nearly $10,000 in scholarships to 19 registered Gymnastics BC athletes. These recipients are remarkable young adults with outstanding accomplishments, both in and out of the classroom.
Each year, the selection committee faces the difficult decision of choosing among several students who excel in gymnastics, academically and within their community.
For 2012, Gymnastics BC committed to four scholarships, in reflection of the quality of our student-athletes. With your donation, we can increase the support provided to our exceptional members.
With rising tuition costs, and reduced government funding, the Gymnastics BC scholarships help our athletes achieve the future of their dreams.

Who Your Gift Will Help
Your gift to the Gymnastics BC Scholarship Fund will help emerging leaders like these previous recipients:
Brynn Staples (2011 Scholarship)
An exceptionally well-rounded individual, Brynn excelled at competitive gymnastics, winning numerous BC Championships medals. At the same time, she was a competitive hockey player for 10 years and achieved outstanding academic results including graduating high school with honours. She has been an active member of her community, volunteering with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, her school and her gymnastics club.
Brynn is studying Arts at King’s College in Halifax, NS.
Naomi Fuglem (2010 Scholarship)
During her 11-year competitive gymnastics career, Naomi earned several awards. Inspired by a class speaker she founded the Belmont Youth for Change Club to raise money for a Nepalese school in Sanitar. She was a volunteer at the Victoria General Hospital to help those going through a distressing experience.
Academically, Naomi achieved 100% on her grade 12 exams and is currently studying at the University of British Columbia in the Science One program.
