Coaches MUST bring their Gymnastics Foundations workbook to this course

This course is available to coaches who have completed the Gymnastics Foundations Part 1 course a (8-10 weeks or longer before November 28).  Completion of the workbook tasks (from the Part 1 course) will be confirmed at the start of the Theory course and coaches with incomplete workbooks will NOT be allowed to take the course.

Coaches who have previously taken Technical Level 1 under the old NCCP program, may take the Part 2 Theory course without completing the Part 1 course or the workbook.  These coaches would then only need to fulfill the practical requirement to complete their Level 1 certification under the old NCCP program.

 
If you are not currently registered with Gymnastics BC, a $25 non-member fee will be assessed at the time of payment. This fee includes a 1 year membership with Gymnastics BC and is valid until August 31, 2010. 
 
The New Gymnastics Foundations Program replaced the old Technical Level 1 course in January 2009.  Please view the Coaching Update Newsletter for more information about the Gymnastics Foundations program.
 

Age Requirements

  1. Coaches must be 16 years of age (at the time of the course) to receive credit for completing the course
  2. Coaches who have completed the two-year Pre-CIT program, may take the course at 15 years of age and receive credit
  3. Coaches who are 14-15 who have not completed the Pre-CIT program, may take the course at full price, but they will NOT receive credit for it and will need to complete it again when they are 16  years of age to get credit (they only have to pay 25% of the fee when they 'Audit' the second course - no manual will be given at the second course: they must bring the manual from the first course)

 Refunds

  1. Notification of withdrawal from the course must be received by GBC no later than five (5) business days prior to the start of the course.  All refunds are subject to a $10 administrative fee
  2. Failure to send notification will result in forfeit of registration fee
  3. NO SHOWS are subject to full payment of registration fee
  4. A full refund will be given if the course is cancelled

Important Tips:

  1. Please wear comfortable clothing
  2. Bring snacks and lunch
  3. Bring your Gymnastics Foundations workbook
